[Explanatory note: this was originally posted in a long thread over a couple of days on Den of Angels. I don’t want to just copy the whole thread here, so I’ve tried to reduce it to its essence so that the installments that followed from it make some kind of sense!]
Hitokiri Battousai is a Rem. Red, with eyes modded by me. Himura Kenshin is a standard Red with slightly enhanced makeup – and my first 1/3 sized doll ever.
And because I get asked a lot – the (real silk!) outfits are from an eBay seller. Kenshin’s was from two separate sets – Battousai’s was commissioned from the same seller (Miniorient)
[Quite a number of really positive responses followed, and I was delighted!]
Well wow! I wasn’t anticipating that sort of reaction, really! 🙂
I mean gosh. I’ve had Kenshin for close to 2 1/2 years, and Battousai… oh, at least a year now. I’ve just never gotten around to putting pictures of them both up together, as I was reminded earlier.
You might be able to tell that I kinda love the character. Ask Aernath – my part of the house is a bit of a Kenshin shrine. *embarrassed* I couldn’t get a really good shot of it, but just over their heads is a really big scroll of the OVA Kenshin and Battousai, which is the spitting image of both of them. Kinda skeery, really..
[Then… madness ensued.]
So these are the boys you’ve been hinting at!
Oh, she has a whole slew of smexy boys who get no luvin from the camera or the general populace. These are just a couple of her favorites. 😉
*giggle* Oh dear, Miss_Pyg has outed me!
That’s right. Now stop playing favorites and take pictures of the rest of your dolls, or me and Aernath will bother you to NOOOO end about it. 😉
Lol if all of your boys are that cute Amethyst is likely is die of blood loss.
[So the boys responded.]
Did you hear that, Battousai-dono? She says we’ve been outed.
‘Dono’ THIS, old man.

Care to reconsider that remark, Owner?
BOYS!! Good lord. You WISH.
Kenshin, you should know better.
And Battousai, don’t you dare threaten me or I’ll tell them how you were mumbling "Daddy Ratbastard" in your sleep.
