Edward Elric is enormously talented in alchemy, the art of creating something by employing the principle of "equivalent trade." He and his brother Alphonse discover that human alchemy, however, is forbidden for a very good reason. Ed becomes deadly serious (most of the time), a look that is captured perfectly in Uende's art.
